Job Description - Solution Architect - SAP Technical
Work Location - Mumbai/ Pune, Hyderabad, Delhi, Noida

Position Overview:

A solutions architect specializes in overseeing technical forecasts to assist management in strategic planning. Candidate would be responsible for the overall design of the SAP application and mapping business requirements to systems / technical requirements. Candidate is expected to work alongside System Integration Partner Solution Architects, Business Process Experts, Technical Architect and other team members to deliver the complete solution for the business customer while adhering to SAP best practices, standards, and templates.

Work Experience:

Must have at least 3-5 years Solution Architect Experience and 12+ years of SAP experience with at multiple SAP implementations and multiple rollouts. 

Overall 12 to 16 years of core ABAP experience, of which at least 2-3 years in two or more of the technologies like SAP ABAP Webdynpro, FPM, Workflows, BRF Plus, UI5 or IDOCs.
 
Job Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Creating an architecture implementation plan and developing a risk assessment on related applications
  • Analysing current issues and recommending solutions, creating and managing a team to develop best practices, and determining robust information technology architecture
  • Managing processes like requirements gathering, project intakes, and prioritization
  • Guaranteeing application designs support the overall technological strategy
  • Research and design new solutions and establish the SAP To-Be Roadmap wherever necessary
  • Provide assistance to Project Teams to identify processes, interfaces, and impacts to downstream processes and systems
  • Instructing organizational stakeholders on potential threats in order to gain support for information technology strategies
  • Participate in Project Deliverables review to ensure alignment with processes, standards, etc. and to establish and review/validate project deliverables/scope as a part of continuous improvement
  • Provide input for continuous improvement of department processes, project methodologies, etc.
  • Possess knowledge on governance, security, complex & challenging landscape designing (eg Disaster Recovery) etc.
  • Implementation, upgrade and support of the latest SAP systems versions, which are: ECC, PI/PO, BI, GRC, CPS, DMS, EP, SolMan all running on Windows OS and MS SQL DB, HANA.
  • Prepare necessary documentations and templates supporting project designs in implementation and support phases when required

Skills Required:

Must-Have

  • Should be capable of creating architecture implementation plan and developing a risk assessment on related applications
  • Should be independently capable of analysing current issues and recommending solutions based on best design practices.
  • Must have experience in multiple implementations & support around ECC,PI/PO, BI DMS, EP etc.at least.
  • Should be well versed with latest SAP technologies, products & platforms e.g. S/4 Hana.
  • Having exposure to SAP S/4 HANA implementations will be an added advantage.
  • Should possess expertise in providing input for continuous improvement of department processes, project methodologies, etc.
  • Good-to-Have
  • Possessing knowledge on Tax and Revenue Management Systems, Media, Manufacturing & Logistics background.

Strong negotiation and problem solving skills used to align the business capabilities and IT systems.
  • Candidate should keep themselves updated continuously on the latest SAP platforms and technologies.

  • Able to coach and motivate the team
  • Ensure team is aligned on expected deliverables and due dates

Additional Expectations:

  • Knowledge of Scrum/Agile and/or Activate Methodologies.
  • Should be willing to travel frequently on need basis, including international travel wherever and domestic travel too.
  • Conduct trainings and workshops on technologies whenever needed.
